Admissions Procedures

Parents must have attended an Open House or School Tour to acquire an application form. Open Houses are held approximately every two weeks. Open House dates for 2012-2013 are listed here.

The application form, HK$2,700 application fee, and applicable school and specialist reports can be submitted up to one year prior to the students’ eligibility to enter school.

Assessments will be scheduled by the Admissions Office in March/April of the enrolling year. For immediate admissions, appointments will be made as needed for assessment.

Overseas applicants can request an application form by contacting the Admissions office. Hong Kong Academy practices a rolling admissions process where students are admitted throughout the school year based upon our availability of spaces and fulfillment of requirements.

The Admissions Office does not keep a waiting list. Instead applications are kept active for a maximum of 2 years or until the family notifies us to remove them from our files. After that amount of time, new applications must be submitted with updated reports.

There is no magic formula for gaining entry into HKA. We will give priority to those students who will add a different dimension and contribute to the diversity of the current class make-up. We also give thought to the family’s contribution to our school community.
